Youngest Teacher in Chile's national literacy campaign is 11-year old Sandra Vega, left, who is teaching her grandmother, Senora Victorina Jimenez, how to read and write. The Santiago flower vendor, 70, received daily lessons from a basic spelling book which has been especially edited for adults. Under the Alliance for Progress, 10,000 of these silabarios are being purchased for the Agency for International Development to assist the campaign.
