Produces its large, deliriously-scented, brilliant carmine flowers throughout the season, nearly as good in hot, dry v/eather as under more favorable weather conditions. A vig- orous grower and as hardy as a Hybrid Perpetual. Mme. Leon Pain. Entirely distinct in color, a silvery- salmon, with deeper orange - yellow, shaded centre, the reverse of the petals being a salmony-pink; flowers large, full and well formed; very free-flowering, and one of the best Roses yet introduced. Mme. Ravary. Should be in every col- lection on account of its distinct color, which is of a rich, deep nankeen-yel- low, becoming lighter as the flower expands. The flowers are of splendid form, full, double and very fragrant. Mrs. Aaron Ward. A remarkably floriferous variety of strong, vigorous, but compact growth; the young foliage is unusually attractive, a rich, bronzy- green color, the flowers of which are of splendid form, full double, are equally attractive when full blown as in the bud state; in color a distinct Indian-yellow, shading lighter towards the edges; in fact, under certain weather or atmospheric conditions, the entire flower will sometimes come a yellow-tinted white, but it is beautiful under all color variations. (Shown in colors on the plate opposite.) Hybrid-Tea Rose Killarney Ophelia. The most recent addition to this set, an introduction of 1913, but a variety which has made such a record for itself in this short time that qualifies it to be classed with the very best, a Rose that is admired by everyone, its flowers are held erect on long stiff stems, are of perfect form, large size, and of a most pleasing delicate shade of salmon-flesh
