Early Norther.—Very similar to its parent the Early Rose, and from all reports at hand it has outyielded that old sort two to one. They have yielded, with ordinary culture, as high as 150 bushels from one barrel planted, and in New England several fields have yielded at the rate of 400 bushels per acre. They have given first class satisfaction on Long Island and in New Jersey, or wherever they have been tested by truckers. Trifle earlier than the Early Rose, and more uniform in size and shape. Carman of the Rural New Yorker, and is of the same class as Mr. Carman's other white potatoes such as Carman No. 3. Car- man No 1, and Rural New Yorker No. 2, but is claimed to contain more new fresh blood, a finer eating quality and to be a better yielder than any of them. Pk. 40c, bush. , bbl. Great Divide.—Claimed by the introducers to be the most robust grow- ing, heaviest yielding, longest keeping and best shipping main crop potato. Vines vigorous, leaves dark green.
