Of Froebels ownwritings(and theseare not always easy to understand even in German ),there have been but fragmentary translations. Ofthe works of the Baroness von Marenholtz Biilow, Ifound in America only the Reminiscences ofFriedrich Froebel, but in this book, beautiful as itis, and conveying the idea as it does, there is less ofthe method than in any other of her writings. Thetranslations of her Labor and the New Educa-tion, and the charming book The Child and its 64 Greeting to America Nature, are now out of print, and the CollectedEssays and a large Hand Book have not as yetbeen translated. Both these latter books deal withthe Froebel method in Invention of Karl Klemm 4V2 years old Volkskindergarten MathildenstrasseDRESDEN.
