The Pelorus Mailboat, oficially part of the NewZealand Post mail run, takes mail, supplies and passengers to remote parts of the Marlborough Sound. The Mail Boat operates out of the small town of Havelock. It has several different routes for different days of the week. All routes are weather dependent. As well delivering mail, groceries and other supplies the service also takes paying passengers, eiter for a day trip or to the more isolated parts of the Sound.
