A back action flintlock rifle, Austria, middle of the 18th century. Octagonal barrel in 15 mm calibre, with restrained engraving, signed on top, "Joseph Wörl in Vils". Muzzle slightly swamped. There is a brass peep sight behind the tang. Smooth lock plate, profiled pan. Double set trigger. The front set trigger missing. Carved walnut stock with rococo decoration and brass furniture. There is a patchbox and an extendable iron shoulder support in the butt stock. Horn butt plate. Wooden ramrod with a horn tip (replaced?). Length 126 cm. historic, historical, 18th ,
