LOWER LIMB, BLOOD CIRCULATION

Veins of the thigh and the knee. The great saphenous vein is a superficial that originates at the level of the foot, and rising up to the groin along the internal face of the leg. The superficial veins are linked to deep venous networks through perforating veins (or communicating veins), like here at the level of the knee. See. images 1007707 for the arteries and 1007807 for the arteries and veins of the knee.
