Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy. The Austro-Hungarian war cemetery of Fogliano-Redipuglia contains the mortal remains of 14,550 soldiers who died in that area. A large central grave and two tombs on each side contain the remains of 12,000 unidentified soldiers. The burial ground is also covered with the graves of 2,550 identified soldiers, with a small concrete memorial stone on each one.
