Yasmin contraceptive pill. Box containing tablets of Yasmin, for use as an oral contraceptive. Yasmin tablets contain two active ingredients, ethinylestradiol and drospirenone. These are synthetic versions of the naturally occurring female sex hormones, oestrogen and progesterone. Ethinylestradiol is a synthetic version of oestrogen and drospirenone is a synthetic form of progesterone.
