Monument to British soldiers on the battlefield of the Battle of Waterloo (1815) near Brussels, Belgium. The stone marks the last position of G Troop Royal Horse Artillery commanded by Capitan Alexander Cavalie Mercer during the Battle of Waterloo on 18th June 1815. From here the troop took a conspicuous part in defeating the attack of the French cavalry.
