Topsoil being placed to fill in the space between the tracks on the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway project
The Cambridgeshire guided busway, which is due to open in Spring 2009, will link St Ives with Cambridge via the world's longest guided busway. The guideway is being constructed along the line of a former railway. At Cambridge buses will exit the guideway and travel along normal roads with new bus lanes. South of Cambridge city centre an additional leg of the busway will link Cambridge railway station with the Trumpington Park & Ride.
