Four double tendrils of blue bind spring from the basket and form compartments with the pigeons in the middle. Colors: the dominant cream-white of the decor is enlivened by soft yellow, pink, blue, moss green and sparingly dark blue or black. This wall covering was mounted as ten panel fillings with a scalloped top, two patterns high and one fabric width, plus narrow strips applied on either side. The covering was carried out for Empress Catherine II of Russia., Philippe de Lasalle, Lyon (possibly), c. 1770 - c. 1790, lampas (textile material), l 185 cm × w 53 cm l 88 cm × w 53 cm
