TEAS' JAPANESE IIVBUIDâThis is :i cross between Catalpa Speciosa and the Japanese Kempterii, and, in vigorous, upright growth, it either. It has large, luxuriant foliage, and large, handsome white flowers, w ith puri)le dots, and a touch of yellow around the throat, which have a pleasant, delieale fragrance, and a tree in bloom not only presents a magnilicent spectacle to the eye, but also fills the air for (juite a distance with its agreeable odors. In rapidity of growth, it rivals the most luxuriant trees of temperate climates, while its hardiness has been demonstrated by its standing uninjured twenty-tive degrees or more below zero. Comiis.
