hagen,herdecke,dortmund,north rhine-westphalia,germany - the hengsteysee is a reservoir completed in 1929 and operated by the ruhrverband in the course of the ruhr between the cities of hagen,dortmund and herdecke in the ruhr area. it is one of the six ruhr reservoirs and named after the neighboring hagen district of hengstey. in the back the kaiser wilhelm monument at the hohensyburg ruins.
