Some of the large ornamental letters inMorks printed by him are much superior to an}i;hing of the kind thathad previously appeared in England. In the Booke of ChiistianPrayers printed by John Daye 1569, wliich goes by the name of QueenElizabeths Prayer Book, there is a portrait of her Majesty, kneelingupon a superb cushion, with elevated hands, in prayer, of which the ledge, folio, printed at London, by Reginald Wolfe, 1556.
