Second World War II, Fair Maid heritage railway engine & carriages in sidings. Great Marquess 61944 Carlin Howe at Pickering Living History 1940s, UK

Every October, the North Yorkshire Moors Railways re-enacts a period in second world war, with its War Time Weekend. It isa tribute to the men and women who kept Britain's railways running throughout the war. They recreate the sights and sounds of those dark days. Restored steam locomotives depart with servicemen and women, factory workers, land army girls, nurses and paying passengers. Skilled re-enactors help create the authentic atmosphere that has earned it an international reputation for authenticity. Goathland.
