The most graceful of the Phoenix, and a Palm wliich has become one of the most popular for room decoration. The plant is of vigorous growth, and its grace- fully recurving leaves, with very narrow dark green pinnae, give it a lightness and airiness not surpassed, if equalled, by Cocos Weddeliana; at the same time it is as hardy as a Kentia, suc- ceeding admirably as a house plant.
