Extinction Rebellion and other campaign groups are on their second day of a four-day protest in Parliament Square. The protesters have stated that they will intensify their actions if the UK government fails to meet their two climate change demands by 5 pm on Tuesday, 24th April. The campaigners are calling for an end to all licenses, funding, and approval for new oil and gas projects, as well as the establishment of "emergency citizens' assemblies" to address the climate crisis.
