staute of Nelson Mandela, Situated on London's South Bank at the side of the Royal Festival Hall this is the second edition of this This original bust was made when Mandela was still in prison and was unveiled in 1985 by Oliver Tambo. The original was destroyed by deliberate fire after about a year. The present version was re-erected in 1988 and placed higher on a plinth for safety The text at the top reads"the struggle is my life"
