Mr. Michael is one of the prominent and successfulfarmers of the county, and in connection with his agricul-tural operations he is extensively engaged in the real estateand loan business, which reaches into Ohio, Indiana, andMichigan. In 1848 he married Barbara Dunkle, of his nativecounty, where she was born July 14, 1825. She is one ofthe most thrifty, energetic, and industrious of women, andin every sense a worthy helpmeet. Politically, Mr. 31ichael is a Republican; religiously, aMethodist. All in all, he is one of those public-spirited,enterprising men whose identification with any eoinmunityis always productive of KJ^< ^
