Comments: The advantages of the metal-covered trim and the incombus-tible floor finish were clearly demonstrated in this building. Inniany cases the fire was confined to the rooms which containedthe windows that admitted the fire from the outside. It is tobe regretted that the design for protecting the window open-ings was not complete, and that metal sash with wire glazingwere not also provided as well as the metal frames in theseopenings. Had this been done, fire would never have been ad-mitted to the building, and the entire damage to the interiorwould have been avoided. The damage to this building was smaller than that of anyof the fire-proof buildings in the burned district. It was un-injured structurally, and
