Lyme Regis, Dorset, UK. 6th September, 2014. Ian Gillan of veteran rock band Deep Purple comes onto the stage at the Guitars on the Beach event at Lyme Regis. The 2nd year of this event brought together guitar players from all over the UK and they set a British record of 3325 players playing in unison, culminating in Smoke on The Water with singer Ian Gillan. Gillan, who lives near Lyme Regis, attended the event after flying in from a current Deep Purple United states tour.
