Horizontal aerial close up of one black jelly baby on a white background. Jelly babies are a type of soft confectionery that resemble little babies in a variety of fruit flavours and corresponding colours. Jelly Babies were launched by Trebor Bassett's in 1919 in Sheffield as 'Peace Babies' to mark the end of the war. They were relaunched in 1953 as 'Jelly Babies' and are still marketed as such today by Cadbury's who acquired the Trebor brand.
