The DuPont Magazine, cover for the July 1930 issue, showing a scene in a factory. Founded in 1913, this magazine publicized the products and activities of the DuPont Company. By the 1930s DuPont (founded in 1802) had become one of the largest chemical companies in the world. It expanded into other areas, with an emphasis on materials science. This front cover (signature at lower right) is by US photographer William M. Rittase (1894-1968).
