NORFOLK (July 21, 2018) Capt. George Semple observes USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) pull into Naval Station Norfolk. The Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group has been deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility. With Harry S. Truman as the flagship, deploying strike group assets include staffs, ships and aircraft of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 8, Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 28 and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 1.
