Queenborough, Kent, UK. 5th May, 2018. Queenborough is celebrating the 650th anniversary of becoming a borough and the special status bestowed upon the town by Edward III, with a special programme of events this bank holiday weekend. Edward III named the town and gave it a charter for various economic rights to tolls on the sea, a right to export wool to Europe, and he built the castle and church. The celebrations start with Edward III's charter and Queenborough's Medieval Statute book being put on display to the public. Pic: the Medieval Statute book. Credit: James Bell/Alamy Live News
