A chest plate of a Roman suit of armour, mid-2nd - mid-3rd century Metal sheet with two fully preserved images of a right chest plate of a lorica from the mid-imperial period (scale or chain mail armour), the top of the upper, triangular image area missing, the section framing the bead frieze which used to surround the images already removed in antiquity. The holes and slits for the fastening of the plate to the lorica and the toggleclosure were located in this peripheral section.
