A morion, Southern German, circa 1600. A two-piece forged skull with a high crest with a turned under edge. Lily decoration embossed on the sides, slight impact marks from the period it was in use. Surrounded by lining rivets with decorative brass rosettes. The brim comes to a point with a turned under, roped edge. There is a riveted clasp for the missing plume socket at the nape.
