One,however, was turned out into the open border in May, where it is now growingabout two feet high. It flowers in July and August, and may be increased bydivisions, or by seeds. The soil should be loam and peat. The generic name, from potens powerful, has been adopted in consequenceof the powerful virtues supposed to be contained in the tribe.
