C, and entered theAcademy in 1824, graduating in 1826. He engaged in planting at Cherry-Grove, St. Johns Parish until his death. He was married in 1829, to Catherine Marion Couturier, a descendant ofGen. Francis ^Marion. She died in 1895. Seven children were born to them:Francis Gendron, born September 7, 1832, colonel C. S.
