Half-length figures Actors depicted and patterns on costumes (from left to right of complete triptych): Ichimura Uzaemon (thunder and lightening: chrysanthemum tattoo); Seki Sanjūrō (eagle attacking song bird); Nakamura Shikan (mythic dog and storm clouds); Iwai Kumesaburō (heavenly constellation); Kawarasaki Gonjūrō (dragon). This is only one section on the original three.
