View NW of the inner wall face of Rubh' an Dunain Iron Age promontory fort, Isle of Skye, Scotland, UK. The curved, drystone wall cuts off the S tip of a precipitous rocky peninsula S of Glenbrittle in Minginish, SW Skye. The wall is thick, still stands up to 3m high & has several features found in brochs: the entrance passage at the W end (rear) has two door checks & there is a gallery running E-W within the wall. The inner face of the wall has a scarcement ledge & a doorway to the gallery just E of the entrance passage. The wall was probably once topped by a parapet.
