M. C. A. schools, to avail him-self of the same instead of the correspondence method. The building of the Twenty-third Street Branch, which isthe oldest, and the parent of all, has recently been sold, anda new building is now in process of erection on the same. The engravings illus-trate the fitting of the lid against the projecting top of thebox and also the grooves in the cover at the sides. Thesetend to keep out dust, which is undoubtedly the cause of alarge proportion of the hot boxes. To prevent dirt fromentering the box at the inside face, the dust guard slot openson the under side. These boxes have been in service formore than a year, giving satisfactory results. They aremanufactured by the Holland Company, 77 Jackson Boule-vard, Cnicago.
