A Swiss flintlock schuetzen target rifle, dated 1815 Heavy octagonal barrel with patent breechblock and hair-rifled bore in 17 mm calibre. Dovetailed globe front sight and lateral bayonet stud, on brass folding rear sight marked "H. F. L'hardy 1815". Reconverted flintlock with set trigger and roller-based frizzen. Walnut full stock with horn nose, chequered butt and smooth brass furniture (lower butt with later wood application). Iron ramrod with brass tip.
