The “Fischerstechen” is a tournament on the Danube water with 15 dueling pairs fishermen and girls wearing historical costumes


Fischerstechen. An old fishing tradition called. The same custom is known as stinging Schiffer, who usually has its origin in the river to transport ships, such as the salt shipping. It represents a competition is between two teams that compete at (rowing) boats against each other. The goal is usually the members of other teams with a spear to thrust into the water from their boats.
