A flintlock rifle, J. Joseph Krei, Munich, circa 1740. Octagonal barrel merging to round after a chiselled baluster, with eight groove rifling in 15 mm calibre. Silver front sight. Silver-inlaid ornamentation at the breech with brass-filled marks for J. Joseph Krei (Stöckel No. 610 and 611). Lightly engraved flintlock. The lock plate signed "IOS. KREI IN MUNCHEN". A walnut half stock, with fine Rococo style carvings. Brass furniture. The original wooden ramrod with brass tip. Length 140 cm. J.
