Russo-Turkish War (1877-1878). Siege of Plevna (20 July to 10 December 1877). Combats that took place between the joint army of Russia and the Kingdom of Romania against that of the Ottoman Empire. Surrender of the Turkish army at Plevna. The Turks asked for a parley by sending an officer with a white flag to present a series of proposals to the Russian general commanding the troops, General Ganetsky (1810-1877).
