Brain haemorrhage, 3D magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan coupled with a computed tomography (CT) scan. This patient is showing a subdural haematoma

Brain haemorrhage, 3D magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan coupled with a computed tomography (CT) scan. This patient is showing a subdural haematoma (bleeding on the brain) around the left hemisphere. This is the result of head trauma in a road traffic accident. The bleeding can exert pressure on the brain which can damage the tissues. If untreated, it can potentially be fatal.
