The fire caused a sudden and complete changeover to the new station. The new power station during the first complete yearsrun (1910) was operated non-condensing owing to delay in. Switchboard, Motor Generator fciel and Iiping delivery of the piping and therefore under .the most un-favorable conditions as to coal consumption, boiler feedwater, etc. The coal used was run of the mine as abovedescribed, and costing under $2 per ton Tbe charge forelectric light and power remained the saiUL- a> the prcvinu-,year. The citys financial statement shows that the result ofthis first years operation of the new power house was abalance of $30,864 after deducting all costs and meeting in-terest and sinking fund.
