Exterior of Marques de Riscal Hotel Winery - La Rioja Alavesa, Alava, Araba Euskal herria, Euskadi Spain. The leisure activity is located mainly in the new building designed by Frank Gehry, also the author of the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, an avant-garde construction that has become the symbol of Marqués de Riscal. This building, built of sandstone and a titanium roof, houses a hotel from the Starwood Hotels & Resorts chain and two restaurants, Bistró 1860 and Marqués de Riscal, awarded a Michelin Star in 2011. The roof of the hotel Its objective is to represent red wine (pink), the characteristic golden mesh of the Marqués de Riscal bottles (gold) and the capsule of said bottles (silver).
