MAGIC SYMBOLS - THE UPRIGHT MAN The so-called upright Man, standing within a quadrated square, with arms upstretched. to emphasise the symmetry of the human frame. The centre of the larger square rests on the navel, and the figure is therefore an extension of (a realisation of) the pentagrammic man.
