Marine Major Paul R. Jones, from Marine All Weather Attack Squadron-533, receives the Distinguished Flying Cross on November 9, 1967, at Marine Air Base, Chu Lai. Jones earned this decoration for piloting his A-6A Intruder aircraft through enemy missile networks and successfully attacking a North Vietnamese railroad complex located 40 miles from Hanoi.
