40 foot snow drifts in Raise Beck, Lake District, UK.


In late March 2013, six inches of snow fell on a strong Easterly wind which blww the snow into massive drifts, accumulating on West facing slopes. Raise Beck above Dunmail Raise in the Lake District, UK, was filled in to a depth of 40 feet in places.
