"Opel Bad" swimming pool above the Villa district of Wiesbaden, Germany.
The Opelbad is an outdoor swimming pool facility, amidst woodland above the vineyards, overlooking the city. A generous sponsor, Dr. Wilhelm von Opel of the famous car dynasty family OPEL helped in establishing this beautiful public pool. This protected historical monument was built in the Bauhaus-style, the pool is solar-heated; the water keeps an even temperature of at least 24 degrees Celsius. The square meters size area is managed by the Wiesbaden Kurbetriebe.
