Le Trou du Bréchou Cave, Le Moustier. A high shallow cave in the rock face above the two famous prehistoric rock shelters at Le Moustier, Peyzac-le-Moustier, Vézère Valley, Tursac,(11 miles north east of Les Eyzies), Périgueux (SE of), Dordogne, France. A limestone cliff promontory rising above the village of Peyzac-le-Moustier, at the junction of the Vimont & Vézère valleys, has series of terraces with 2 paleolithic rock shelters and a cave. The cave on the highest level called Le Trou du Bréchou is apparently sterile of early human occupation. It is a distinctive feature in the landscape and can be seen from a distance. Its chief interest is in the geological formation but because of its shallow depth has little interest for exploration. .
