12/11/13 It has taken a few frosts to trigger the Autumn colour to finally reach its fiery peak, seen here, two swans are reflected as they glide along the JCB Lake near the company's headquarters in Rocester, near Uttoxeter in Staffordshire. Back in the 1960's the lakes at JCB's International Headquarters used to be marshy areas where machines demonstrated their digging capabilities. In 1968 Joseph Cyril Bamford decided that the area should be turned into an amenity which would allow the workforce, the village of Rocester and nature to grow together in harmony So a 24 acre lake containing 27 million gallons of water was dug out. Working closely with the RSPB the lake now attracts birds from all over Europe. All Rights Reserved - F Stop Press +44 (0) 1335 300098
