Roth, a vehicle driver assigned to A Company, 2nd Battalion, 407th Brigade Support Battalion of the 82nd Airborne Division's 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade is awarded the Combat Action Badge from brigade commander, Col. Tim McAteer, at Al-Asad Air Base, Iraq, Aug. 16. Roth earned the CAB for his actions during roadside bomb attack on his armored vehicle while on a unit resupply mission.
