MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Oct. 9, 2014) - Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Andrew Sterling, from Chicago, directs an AV-8B Italian Harrier to land aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5). The Bataan Amphibious Ready Group is on a scheduled deployment supporting maritime security operations, providing crisis response capability and theater security cooperation efforts in the 6th Fleet area of operations.
