Remarks: Whether Sars's Lecythia brcvicornis is identical with Appellof's Edwardsia carnea is very dif- ficult to decide; on the other hand the species described by Appellof is the same species as Edwardsia Sarsii Diib. & Koren, which I have been able to substantiate on specimens belonging to the Museum of Christiania and labelled "Ed- wardsia sarsii Dub. & Koren, Bergen, Manger, Sars". As to Lecythia it is possible that Sars's description alludes to the species later on described bv Gosse as Edwardsia car-. Textfig. 88—92. Paraedwardsia sarsii.
