Thesloping cut upon the stock, and theforming of the graft, is the same as inthe ordinary American whip tongue-grafting, except that one side of thestock, opposite that on which the graftis placed, should be cut away upon thesame slojae as the grafted side, as indi-cated by the dotted lines in Fig. 6.
